Job Description

Job Purpose:
To manage and grow the brokers' portfolios, driving revenue and profitability through cross - selling, upselling and renewals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of underwriting principles, market trends and competitive dynamics along with exceptional communication and relationship building.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to identify and target new insurance brokers.
  • Proactively identify and seize opportunities to expand brokers' portfolios through
    targeted cross-selling and upselling initiatives.
  • Effectively manage and monitor a portfolio of brokers, ensuring adherence to
    underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Understand the needs of insurance brokers and develop solutions to meet those
    needs.
  • Quotes business within his/her underwriting authorities.
  • Diligent follow-up on new business opportunities and ensure timely renewals of
    existing policies.
  • Analyze persistency and Loss Ratio to assess portfolio performance and identify
    areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and track broker performance.
  • Conduct Benchmarking against industry competitors to identify areas of
    development.
  • Negotiate and close deals with insurance brokers.
  • Generate and analyze comprehensive reports, including un-renewed reports,
    production reports, and earning reports, to maximize broker profitability.
  • Prepare monthly renewal and underwriting renewal rules to ensure alignment with
    organizational objectives and regulatory compliance.
  • Assisting, coaching and supervising junior account executive.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the insurance sector, preferably with a focus on broker relationship management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with brokers.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of successfully resolving broker inquiries and concerns.
  • A pleasant and professional demeanor, with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Prior experience in claims or underwriting is a plus for candidates possessing the aforementioned qualities.

  • Proficiency in English and Arabic, French is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
